Cudugnon, which is often misspelled Codugnon, Codognun, and even Cudugnun, is located in the western part of Lagen Island and is best reached by boat. Cudugnon Cave has historical significance because artifacts, including ancient pottery and jewelry, were discovered in the cavern. The cave is also believed to be a Neolithic burial place because prehistoric human bones have been found there. Anthropologists believe that the early cave dwellers were from Borneo. How to Get to Lagen Island

Lagen IslandIsland Transvoyager Inc. (ITI) offers daily flights from Manila to El Nido, Palawan. Travel time is approximately 55-minutes using a 50-seater ATR aircraft.  From there a 45-minute boat ride follows to take guests to Lagen Island.

Flight reservations on ITI may be made through El Nido Resorts.  Regular flights depart Manila at 7:30AM and 3:00PM daily. Return flights depart El Nido, Palawan at 9:30AM and 5:00PM. Continue reading
