Alessandra de Rossi, Lovi Poe, Sam Pinto, and Janicel Lubina on the cover of Mega Magazine. Sam Pinto started out as a commercial model at the age of ten before becoming an actress. From her first print ad for Coca-Cola, Sam carried on to do numerous print and TV commercials for some of the country’s biggest brands including Smart, Nescafe and Palmolive. With her modeling work in place, Sam never dreamt of becoming an actress until opportunity began to knock on her door. Her first venture into acting came in 2009 when she played a resident psychic for a horror-comedy TV show called Midnight DJ. That same year, Sam shot to fame when she became a replacement contestant in the reality TV show, Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up, where she was tagged as the ‘fab fashionista’. Although she didn’t win, Sam gained a significant following and went on to do several TV shows, including Agimat Presents: Elias Paniki, Captain Barbell: Ang Pagbabalik, Party Pilipinas and Indio.
She also appeared in the big screen for Petrang Kabayo (2010), Si Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote (2010), Catch Me, I’m in Love (2011), Si Agimat, si Enteng at Ako (2012) and Tween Academy: Class of 2012.
But perhaps Sam’s most well-known work to date is her role as Neneng B in the comedy TV show ‘Bubble Gang’, whose segment she starred in, ‘Pick-Up Lines Battle’, became a widespread hit and was adapted into the big screen.
Between her TV shows, movies and appearances, Sam also graced the covers of many magazines, having appeared in Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Uno, Women’s Health and FHM, among others. She has been one of YES! Magazine’s “100 Most Beautiful Stars” from 2011-2013, and became FHM’s ‘number one sexiest’ in 2011 and 2012 – one of very few to have held that crown for two years in a row.
