Locally known as Porompong, Palumbanes Island is located in the northern part of Catanduanes. Very little infrastructure exists on the island, and electricity is scarce. A popular destination is Bitaoag Beach on the island, which can be reached via a one hour hike or a 15-minute boat ride.
