The MRT Peak Hours occurs during the work week (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays). In the mornings, the peak transit hours occur between 6:30am until 9:30am. During these three hours, most commuters in Manila are going to work or school, and the trains are usually full; It becomes a challenge to enter a fully loaded MRT train, squeeze inside, and exit the car. At times, even the lines to the ticketing window are long and the terminal is crowded. After 9:30am, it doesn’t get as congested until seven hours later, around 4:30pm. At this time, it becomes the afternoon/evening rush hours (peak hours) for the Metro Rail Transit, with passengers getting off of work or school and communting home. The evening peak hours is between 4:30pm and 7:30pm. Again, it is difficult to board a train during these times.
